Fairfax High, 66 .Campbell College 66 thru 70, Married Linda Kay Smith in Aug. of 69. Draft number 63, joined the Marine Corps Reserve,. Richmond, VA in July of 1970, With Linda have 2 children, Jennifer and Brian. First job after Marine training, "Financial Adviser" with Travelers Ins. Co..That didn't work.
Joined Best Products Company, stayed 4 years rose to showroom manager, rose to level of incompetence, moved on. Moved to Maine to work for Value House, did well. but things were not so good at home. Decided to move back to Richmond.

arted screwing up. Got divorced, lost job, had therapy and started a small company, Camelot Pewter. Our best selling item was the "Virginia Cup". Didn't have the finances or financial expertise to keep it going by myself. Sold to investors, got fired.
Moved on to a position as Sales Manager for Salisbury Pewter. Researched, developed and introduced a new series of products based on colonial era designs and named the pieces after the states where they were made. That went well so we introduced a new series of engraved pewter to help the growing interest in the "Save The Bay" movement. One of our slogans, "Treasure the Chesapeake" showed up on Maryland license plates. It could have been a coincidence but I am not sure.
The year was 1984 and things were looking up. More later
